Poynton (2)

Another view of the Macclesfield Canal at Higher Poynton, looking south from Brownhills bridge (No.15), near Nelson's Pit car park. (This is the bridge seen in the distance in the last picture.)

The car park can be used as the start of walks on the canal towpath, or along the Middlewood Way, a former railway which runs in a cutting below the field on the right. There are also walks from here to Lyme Park.
