Back to the summit of Shining Tor, and a view to the north-west.

On the far right, and closest to Shining Tor, is Oldgate Nick. Across the middle, dappled with sunlight, are Sponds Hill and Park Moor, which form the eastern edge of Lyme Park.

Beyond these nearer hills lie Stockport and Manchester, and then more hills to the north of the conurbation, but it would take a clearer day to make out any detail.
