Macclesfield Forest (2)

Because of the way the summit rises steeply above the surrounding moorland, Shutlingsloe (506m; 1660 feet) is sometimes referred to as the Matterhorn of Cheshire. It's also a popular destination for walkers.

However, it is still slightly lower than the summit of the nearby Cat and Fiddle road (A537) from Macclesfield to Buxton. Part of this road can be seen in the lower right hand corner.
